- do not spray any products directly onto the floor.
HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR QUICK-STEP® FLOOR
Maintaining your Quick-Step floor is easy and hassle-free. However, some actions can be harmful and cause permanent damage to your floor. Here is some advice so you can enjoy your Quick-Step floor in perfect condition for many years.
Your Quick-Step floor was conceived to be dry cleaned. Wet cleaning is absolutely unnecessary. Slightly moist cleaning, carried out correctly, is only necessary very occasionally.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE – DRY CLEANING
Generally speaking, laminate floors do not require the use of vacuum cleaners. Floors with V groove planks are an exception; to avoid dirt accumulating in the joints, you should vacuum them before you clean the rest of the floor.
The ideal product for cleaning your floor is the Quick-Step Cleanmop, which can be adapted to the handle and mop holder to be found in the Quick-Step Cleanset. These microfibre wipes are excellent at collecting dust and have been especially designed for dry and slightly moist cleaning.

OCCASIONAL MAINTENANCE – SLIGHTLY MOIST CLEANING
This type of cleaning is only necessary very occasionally, with a frequency that can vary between once a month and once a year, depending on how fast your floor gets dirty.
For this cleaning process you should use Quick-Step Clean. Quick-Step Clean needs to be diluted in water (50 ml product: 450ml water) in the spray dispenser that comes with your Quick-Step Cleanset, and is sprayed onto the Quick-Step Cleanmop (never spray it directly on the floor). The wipe should not be too damp. Move the cloth across the floor, preferably lengthways along the panels without lifting it, in long sweeps, with overlapping, zigzag movements (this should be done using the mop from the Quick-Step Cleanset). Finish off by wiping the floor with a dry micro-fibre cloth.
DEEP CLEANING
Very dirty floors can require deeper cleaning. If this is the case, you should carry out a slightly moist cleaning, and, when it is time to dry it, use a rubber wipe. Repeat the slightly moist cleaning process and finish off wiping the surface with a dry micro-fibre wipe.AFTER LAYING THE FLOOR – THE FIRST TIME YOU CLEAN IT
Thanks to its easy installation, the floor does not get excessively dirty after this process. This is how you should clean it for the first time:- gather the dirt particles with a soft broom and a shovel;
- planks with a V groove should be vacuumed;
- follow the procedures for dry cleaning;
- eliminate the persistent stains in the way that is described below; (the following does not apply to planks with a V groove)
- wipe the floor with a moist cloth, and finish off with the procedures that are used for wet cleaning.
PERSISTENT STAINS
Stains that are usually thought of as being difficult to remove on other surfaces are not a problem for laminate flooring. According to the different types of stains, you should do the following:plastic or rubber marks rub them with a dry cloth or cotton wool; use acetone if necessary;
urine, blood, etc. wipe it with a slightly moist cloth as soon as possible. If the stain is already dry, rub it repeatedly with a dry cloth; use Quick-Step Force if necessary;
nail polish, shoe polish, ink, felt-tip, lipstick, tar, etc.. - wipe these with a cloth embedded in acetone, nail polish remover or solvent;
chocolate, grease, oil or oil-based products use Quick-Step Force.
After removing stubborn stains, wipe the floor with a slightly moist microfibre cloth to get rid of the residues of the products you have used to remove the stains.
